Early childhood education lays the foundation for a child’s future. What you teach a child in the early years will impact them for the rest of their lives. A child is like a seed that if you water, nurture, and give it light will grow into a beautiful flower. I homeschool my three children and make videos about it on my channel see here

  1. Thank you for sharing. Can u pleas post more videos what you have on your shelf for your daughter. It helps me to get ideas for my kids. Thank you very much.

  2. I really have a question, and I think you’re the best gal for it. I know you love phonics, and don’t agree with the whole word method (apologize if I’m wrong, thought I remember you saying that somewhere). I spent countless nights awake making word cards and encyclopedic cards trying to do the Doman method. It worked for a while, then my baby got really sick. I would have had time for phonics! I felt horrible, weighed down with guilt I couldn’t stick to their program. Since my “window closed” I switched to Hooked on Phonics. He LOVES it!! I catch him up at 11pm reading in the homeschool room! Anyway, my question is for my Montessori shelf (which are fun activities for 6 yr old, but I have a 3 yr old, too), I want to add a lot of games you do for language, like matching the day of the week words…is that whole word method? I thought it was just good practice to see the words, too, but I don’t want to mess up the phonics stuff we’re doing. Also, he flew through Hooked on Phonics, so we’re doing Alpha Phonics now. Flying. I know it’s a little later, but he’s sounding everything out around him. It’s awesome. Should we steer clear from doing those word-matching activities too much? Since they were a little older in your videos, I wasn’t sure if you still did that so much. We all move along in our curriculum plan, I don’t mean to offend you at all, I just thought you could really clear it up for me since you are such a researcher! 🙂 You’ve been an inspiration for a couple years….keep it up!
