Homeschooling is the narrow path that leads to wisdom, self governance, and freedom. How will we raise the next generation? Are you unsatisfied and sadly disappointed with what you see in youth today? My goal is to raise a different generation who value God,strong morals and hard work. All this while raising critical thinkers who can think outside the box and use sound reasoning to make their own path instead of following the path laid out for the masses. A bold crew who could stand up for what is right. I also want a radically kind crew who will do all things with love, respect and humility. I am working on it with all my heart. It is hard work y’all! don’t give up. You will reap good fruit if you take charge of your kids upbringing. Do not hand it over to a stranger this work belongs to you. Gabby is two years old and is officially reading! She first started with memorizing letter sounds and then started putting those sounds together! this is the easiest method I have found to teach reading. This is my 5th child who learned how to read by the age of three with easy 5 minutes a day lessons. If you visit my youtube channel you can find many tutorials on how I teach reading. Elemental Phonics is an amazing book that has taught many children to read including those with disabilities. Learning sight words helps create fluent and fast

Learning sight words helps create fluent and fast readers. It is important that when children have learned their core phonics instruction that they proceed to learn the most frequent words seen in the English language. Many of them are not decodable and do not use regular phonetic rules so having children memorize them will help them become strong, fluent readers. I work with the Dolch words and created a series of books from preschool until third grade to help students memorize the most frequent words for their grade level. In each book the child gets five words a week and they get to use those books in different activities. As the grades progress the activities get harder. This is from our visit to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia a little while ago. We were studying pilgrims and this brought our lessons alive. It felt like we were walking in colonial times as we saw the people working their different trades, historic homes, and people walking around with clothing from that era. It is the world’s largest living history museum and inside, you can find more than 300 acres of historical sites, authentic colonial taverns, art museums, and hundreds of working craftsmen who are eager to show you their trade. Highly recommend colonial Williamsburg it was an amazing experience. When you are done be sure to visit Jamestown Settlement!
